Jon has over 25 years’ experience in the catering industry. He has been integral to the delivery of some of the most exciting and complex business growth and cultural change programmes with high profile organisations, supporting success with new innovations, proven systems, clear visions and strong leadership. He possesses experience in successfully refocusing mature and established organisations.
It was during a 7 year period working with Sutcliffe Catering running large catering operations in the City of London that Jon met Stuart Everson and the company they formed; Everson Hewett grew to become one of the strongest and recognisable niche independent caterers in London. The company continued to grow following its acquisition and integration into the Compass Fine Dining Division in 2005.
Following five years in the position of Business Development Director for Restaurant Associates, Jon entered the world of consulting where he has since supported a broad base of public and private sector organisations with all aspects of their catering delivery, commercial growth, supplier management and business strategy. Empathy with the entrepreneurial spirit, gained through building his own business, aligned with an understanding of large corporate organisations and the systems that drive their performance give Jon a much sought after balanced insight into what leads to successful and sustainable catering partnerships.
Sector strengths include client dining, staff feeding, visitor attractions, aviation, hospitality and events, independent schools, healthcare, and front of house services.
Jon is a past Chair and Fellow of the Association of Catering Excellence, a School Governor and when not working, likes nothing better than playing golf, tennis, entertaining and looking after animals including his loyal rescue donkey, Bertie.
